Thread: [SPOILER] How many times did you cry during 3.0 MSQ?

I wasn't really moved by the story to be honest. I feel like SE is losing some of what made them a great group of storytellers.

The one death that actually impacted me was honestly before this story started, and they took it away anyway. Oh she didn't REALLY die, no. It was just some slumber shit someone swapped in. Just go with it. I think that really just set the tone for the rest of the xpac's story and after it, I just couldn't take anything they did seriously anymore.

Didn't really cry, but was more distraught over the moments.

Haurchefaunt moment, I was more like: "NOOOO! WHYY! I knew it, I knew SE just HAD to off him!" He was the one NPC I actually gave a damn about.

Iceheart moment, I was more bummed that we won't have Shiva fight with us anymore. ;_;

I just finish the Vault. Yet another scene like Moenbrida happens again. SERIOUSLY?!

Iceheart actually did me in. I love Shiva as a Primal, and she kind of became like similar to Terra/Esper so much love. Then THAT happened and I was SO angry. ;;

Not weird at all. ARR had some heavy moments but this expansion so far seems to enjoy ripping out your still beating heart and squeezing it until it pops. Although I have suspicions that...

Given Haurche's popularity we MAY not be done with him yet. He's dead for sure but just when that wound starts to heal, SE will open it again with

A)we've learned Ascians can possess a non-living body

or

B)Dude's left behind a big, dumb family in mourning and we haven't seen Unicorn or Ixion yet. Unicorn happens to be from VI, too (same as some classic eidolons as well as Ramuh, Bismarck and the Warring Triad)

because white mages definitely don't get a unicorn mount at level 30.

I didn't say there weren't any Unicorns period in the game. Unicorn the "primal" is a thing, though. They'd probably change it's name from just Unicorn to Ixion (despite Ixion being lightning so not THE Ixion) or Monoceros or Shadhavar or something.

I don't cry with most things, and this was no different, but I knew certain things would hit me hard and I would swear bloody vengeance. I'm still not over the end of The Vault, and probably won't ever be. :< It was especially hard when:

Seeing Edmondt break down and talking to people that worked with Haurchefant in Camp Dragonhead.

I felt like a total failure right at those moments.
