What do you propose you say to someone who just saved your life? We had as much right to leave her as to risk our lives saving her.
I think "Thank You, I'm in your Debt* is an appropriate response.
Oh come on. Surely I deserve at least one point. :POK, you've got a point.
Well, 12% of a point.
In this particular instance, the scholar isn't strictly necessary. Give us an "aetherometer," show us how it works, and show us where to take readings and the scholar becomes unnecessary. The scholar is more a convenience of storytelling and programming, since we can just take his word for the aether readings instead of designing an interface we can view and we can't verbally react to Wilred's body. We obviously had nothing else to do as we were tasked with the bodyguard detail, so "we were too busy" is no excuse. She makes us do literally everything else of importance outside R&D; I see no reason why we could not do this task on our own.
... unless the Warrior of Light is just too dumb to use an aetherometer. But I doubt that, considering ACN and its Jobs, as well as MCH, require no small amount of intellect, and even if you never touch them the trainers won't turn you away for being stupid.
I don't think that the task was too difficult for us. Its that its a waste of our time when our expertise and skill is far more valuable spent elsewhere. Its why at the start of the quest she apologises to you for sending you on such a grunt job since the usual bodyguard was unable to make it and she had no other replacements. Likewise, the other Archons are much to skilled and valuable to be wasted on that type of work.
Think of it this way. If you have a world class surgeon, do you want to waste his time putting bandages on people that someone with a few days training could manage or would you have him doing the surgery? Those scholars weren't a one time thing. They were doing it frequently.
Management isn't only deciding what to do and making sure it gets done but making sure resources are used effectively and efficiently. Yes, the WoL does do mundane jobs but usually they have other reasons for them. We handed out uniforms to new recruits to the Crystal Braves as a Morale Boost. We fetched stuff for Yda because she was a friend and was upset. We played errand boy for the Adventurer's Guild cause we were basically playing Ambassador. The actual day to day running and background organising that is done though the WoL rarely gets involved in. The Archon's likely don't either.
None! D:
Why would you want to kill anyone?!
Well, easy for me to say °-°
The only member of the Scions I really couldn't stand and wanted to be gone as fast as possible was Moenbryda, and the game did a great job killing off that one character I didn't like..xD
If one more had to die, maybe..Papalymo? He's kind of boring, getting overshadowed by Yda a lot :x
Minfilia and Tataru may be annoying sometimes, but at least they feel like proper characters with their own motivations, worries, likes and dislikes. Papalymo is kind of...just existing? I know next to nothing about him, he rarely speaks, and even when he does it's about the task at hand, you never really learn anything about him the way you do with Y'shtola, Thancred, Yda or even Urianger.
So if he died, I wouldn't just not be sad, I'd actually apprechiate it if he made way for a more interesting and fleshed out character .-.
both lalas tataru and papalymo...tataru is just useless plain and simple and papalymo is a lala as well there for they're services are no longer required feed them to a dragon or something
keep urianger and yshtola the rest can go just keep them two
My first thought was none of them. Then I remembered Urianger has dealings with Ascians.
Unless the dealings are absolutely necessary to save innocents, I don't think I'd be able to forgive him. Either way, he'd be my choice if I had to kill a Scion.
Am I still the only one here who saw the Urainger and Eldibus scene at the end of 2.X and said, "Thank the Twelve someone around here has a clue"?
Urianger is on our side. In all likelihood it was Eldibus who gave him the white Auracite we used to take out Igeyohrm, so yes, his actions have already saved lives.
あっきれた。
And yet he still refuses to talk on what his actual plans are. He tries to be like Ada Wong from Resident Evil being oh so mysterious and it just screams annoying to me.
Kill Tataru, Yda, Alphinaud, and Papalymo.
They're all terrible characters. So annoying.
Also, RE-KILL the sultana. Someone do it RIGHT this time.
