    Square Enix Help Support?? Some help pfft

    Probably not the location to post this but it is a technical issue.... it is an issue that has me seeing red

    I have purchased 6 copies (yes you read that right SIX copies) of FFXIV
    3 - for windows
    3 - for PS3 but one of which I upgraded to PS4

    My problem? Wanting to have the ability to play my beloved game with my family.
    Now in the days of old you had one Square ID and could conveniently organize all your gaming needs in one location. Think FFXI and all the handles. Now we need separate Square IDs for each and yes I understand that, but people make mistakes and it should not come at the cost of a 7th purchase of the SAME freaking game.

    Why can I not have the 3 Square IDs each have a windows copy and each have a playstation copy as I asked? Only one game copy is improperly registered and Agent Melinda was dismissive and to be frank in my opinion quite rude. Square has diehard fans who love and support their game... 6 copies people! Collectors Editions, not to mention all the game time, added retainers, copies of FFXIV 1.0 and the games that came before. Is it really that hard to transfer the location of a registered barcode? Take the game time. Take away the level 17 characters on the account that was just purchased and registered July5th........

    Ugh! Seriously. Square you need better customer service reps. You need better help serve options. You need a better system for registering. yep I'll call myself a dummy.... dummy-proof it please.

    Oh, you had a run in with Melinda too? Was literally some of the worst customer service I've ever had, ever. I work in customer service, I do chats, tickets, phones, etc, and deal with customers on a daily basis on complex solutions and troubleshooting procedures.

    Unfortunately, Agent Melinda didn't seem to acknowledge the issue at all, was completely out of sync with the status of issues that SquareEnix has publicly announced on Lodestone, and provided no actual assistance aside from off the mark responses and a haste to get me out of chat (after I waited for an hour and a half).

    When giving the generic "Are there any different issues I can assist with right now?" I explained that she hadn't even acknowledged the original issue, gave me a generic "Unfortunately..(message)..we apologize for the inconvenience." and immediately disconnected from the chat support.

    However, I will say that I called the next day, and after waiting on hold for an hour, the support agent I got was extremely attentive. And while he wasn't able to assist with my issue, he was very kind and communicated in conversation enough to display that he understood what my issue was.

    Guess it just depends on the Agent you get, and Melinda is one you want to avoid.

    Exactly the WORST! I have never been so disappointed with a customer service department ever. That specific agent should have their performance reevaluated. Absolutely appalling.

    Even disconnected on me. I thought it was policy to listen to your customers and validate their commitment to you SE; to ensure continued patronage. Obviously my money & dedication mean nothing to them. I think stories like this need to be shared. They expect us to recruit friends and family.... to assist them but they won't do the same in return?! Disgusting

    Seriously I am to share my love of their product and influence others to purchase the game and perhaps an expansion then pay for a monthly subscription for their betterment PFFT! How about I share this disrespectful exchange instead posting the conversation to show the true class of SE's support team and those like Agent Melinda. That ought to increase their gaming population.
