It sucks to be a tank class right now and get 30 second queue only to spend 40+ minutes with the worst slowest dps you've ever seen.

I had a 5 minute queue as a healer earlier today. The horror.

But really, if you hate the queue times make friends with a tank or healer you trust. We appreciate good DPS just as much as you appreciate a good tank or healer. I duo queue with my bf (a SMN) all the time and it always makes runs smoother when I can count on at least one DPS to be doing good damage and not dying to glowing floor circles.

Also the queue times these days aren't nearly as bad as they were at launch. Though I wonder if DPS queue times will go up once the FoTM DRK players gravitate to something else.

It doesn't suck at all. There is far too much to do in this game for someone to claim that these queues are leaving them sitting around. I do my daily and weekly hunts. I fate grind on classes I'm leveling. I craft and gather. Etc...

If you are sitting around bored, you are doing it wrong.

Well actually for those leveling their jobs, not being able to join a fate party or have a chocobo out to help level, it does severely limit what you can do. When I'm in leveling mode it's hard to go off and do something else. I want to keep the xp coming in.

Well doing anything without chocobo out is a quick form of suicide.

14-15min guaranteed que times for the lvl 60 dungeons, for 80 law.

15min que + 20-25min clear time = 40m per 80 law, not including if you wipe.

what a joke.

I love being a DPS. When waiting on ques I just minimize 14 and do something while I wait to hear the DF ticking.

Long queue times caused me to make the switch from pugilist to conjurer. I fell in love with it and now I main a white mage
