    The BLM Raid Rotation

    Hello,
So a finalized BLM rotation has been tested by many on Reddit with many chiming in on thoughts on how to best utilize the new spells/ skills. I have been following this and have practiced and even tried my hand at reducing the number of spells/skills because in a raid situation its simply impossible to keep it going and even if we do get it started then the whole rotation fails to work properly because if we're interrupted then the chances of forgetting where we left off is greater or the rotation might suffer if not cast in quick amount of time. The current BLM rotation is posted below, however, what I would like to see is other BLMs and get your thoughts on a rotation that you use to maximize your DPS?

    Finalized Rotation:
    Ley Lines > Bliz III > Thun > Sharp Cast > Fire III > Enoch+Raging Strikes > Fire > Pot > Fire IV x3 > Firestarter > Conv > Fire IV x3 > Bliz III > Bliz IV

    The BLM Raid Rotation Cont...

My version of this that I have been using:
Ley Lines > Thun > Sharp Cast > Fire III > Enoch > Fire > Raging Strikes > Fire > Fire IV x3 > (Before Enoch Timer up) Bliz III > Bliz IV (Then repeat to Fire III > Fire IV)

What I'm thinking on trying out is on the second rotation is just keep Umbral Fire up longer, then just do a Fire or Firestarter before going into Bliz III while the Enochian Timer is still up, bascially trying to get an extra Fire IV in there. What are others using?

Why Blizz 3 and thunder at the start? I thought it was proven already that thunder was a DPS loss, and I just fail to see the purpose of that Blizz3.

The opener I've been using is one I also found on Reddit:

    LL>F3>Enoch>RS>F4>F4>SharpC>F1>IntPot>F4>F4>F3proc>Convert>F4>F4>B3>B4>F3......

Do the ones you posted allow for more breathing room with mechanics or movement or something like that?

Depends on the fight but a STARTER thunder isn't bad.

In ravana ex for example I go about
    B3-t2-LL-sharp-f3-pot-f4-f4-F1-f4-f4-f3-f4-convert-f4-f4-trans/b3-sc-b4

T1/2 depending of mana ticks and time.

Squeezing in a thunder during mp down time right before or after b4 reset

Is ok from what I've seen and done. This is ravana ex specific though and I haven't had enough time practicing in Alex yet. But it doesn't seem feasible in alex atm.

Forgot to put RS after sharp.

The point in that rotation is to achieve 7 fire 4s. I've used it in alex 1 but alex 2 is...weird.

Regardless the rotation changes depending on the boss considering you need to take into account when the best time to pop a huge dps rotation if the boss even allows it.

The only thing I can think of when it comes to Blizz 3 at the start (and thunder here and there) is because during 2.0 release, Blizz 3 was what we used to open (with raging strikes), so we could immediately cast Fire 3, and proceed with the rotation with Fire etc etc. Idk if it changed over time from 2.0 to 2.5, but Blizz 3 was always my initial starter, only because casting Blizz 3 allowed us to use Fire 3 faster, with less MP burn, and proc a lvl 3 Umbral Fire from the very start. But, that's all i can think of right now.

    Hello,
I have yet to test this out on Ravana EX, but it would seem the Blizz 3 allows for an extension/breathing room into our casting rotation, when I don't use Blizz 3 my timers seem to die off faster not netting more time to finish casts on my other spells or I'm too close to the timer dropping off, making everything clunky. This is the best description I can honestly give. Here is the a vid I also chased down on BLM rotation, which is similar to Reddits. However, Reddits used to use Blizz 3 in his starting opener but has since taken it out. I guess it will just determine which rotation is best for the battle.
