nothing in this thread is about opinion.
Its a marketing fact that if you can sell a product to more than one "target market" you make more money.
If coke can sell coca cola, and then no-name cola, they make a lot more money than if they just sold coke.
Similarly if this game appealed to TWO different groups of players (MMO players and normal RPG players) It would make significantly more profit.
It is also a fact that most of the game is already single player suggesting that the code to make a single-player part of the game is already available.
Thus SE has a low-cost way of possibly doubling the games population and increating their profits.
this "single player" part would not effect MMO players very much so saying "we dont like single player stuff" is irrelevant.
So the argument only centers around whether or not SE could turn a profit by doing it.
