    We ever going to get Raid Dungeons?

    Are we ever going to get Raid Dungeons? Where its a lengthy trek to the boss? With rooms to explore. Are are all raid encounters from here on out just gonna be like 1 trash pull (if that) then boss?

    I know a lot of people think just clearing trash is pointless, but I rather enjoy it than just going from boss to boss. Or at least some puzzle mechanic along the way to the boss...Something..

    So long as mobs are given interesting mechanics of their own.

    Otherwise, the mobs are often so mindless I'd rather just zoom to the bosses as quickly as possible & get out.

    I can face-roll my keyboard & kill any mob in this game, was hopeful for Heavensward's 'dangerous overworld' but it's proven weak.

    P.S. don't get me wrong, I would like this feature... just "so long as..."

    Ya that's what i mean..even the little trash they put before the current raid bosses are stupid easy when you couple probably solo most of them.

    Mobs that require mechanics and training that you could potentially wipe on.

    I sure hope so, hell they can just merge something like Alex into one thing and add a few more twists and turns with mobs. I can see why people wouldn't like it though, grinding the entire raid again and again to get that one piece of loot is annoying.

    Personally I would prefer some different type of design to end game raids other than "boss rush mode" which is what the raids we have feel like. While I enjoy the raid content, it's very repetitive.

    I would really enjoy it if the developers created some instanced content that did not feel like it was "run to the end fast like sonic, then kill boss and cheer"

    In FFXI over the years there was a lot of varying end game activities released some were instanced and some were not, but even the instanced stuff varied greatly in how it played: dynamis felt different than salvage, which felt different than farming monster Pop sets for boss monsters in sky, which felt different than the instanced battles in sea etc.

    I don't find killing trash boring...The trash in FF14 sure, but not in all games

    My actual favorite thing to do in this game are dungeons..not the raids..the dungeons..cause i get to explore this decently designed area. The raids..Its oh look a five foot room, oh another 40 foot room with a boss..done

    I am all for longer raids -- something like early WoW raids where

    you enter kill trash and mini boss 1 drops some type of item that isnt the best but is an upgrade for someone run around kill more trash then main boss 1 who drops a big item mini bosses again that drop random stuff, back to the big bosses, etc.

    I think its boring to kill trash, but I wouldnt mind some mini bosses in the raid that actually dropped items... ofc these items dont need to be the best possible gear but something in between for example

    i180 is law/seal
    i190 is alex

    so the mini bosses could drop a i185 piece here and there.. that kinda thing..
