Hunts, as they are, are wasted as open world content. The numerous monsters that have been designed for The Hunt have their mechanics obfuscated/completely ignored by the massive amount of people that rush to kill them. Why not, instead, have hunts works as faction leves in 1.0 did, or as treasure maps do now? Have daily/weekly hunt marks also give a separate currency that can be used to purchase spawn items for current A/S ranks. As is the nature of leves/treasure maps, only the challenging party can damage the hunt. This would preserve the open world aspect, cut down on community drama, and provide a solid challenge for midcore players(an audience that is largely ignored in the war between casual and hardcore.) I realize that discussion on The Hunt has probably been beaten to death, but I'd like to see what others opinions on fixing the problem instead of simply disliking it in its current form(as I do) are.
