    account suspended due to suspicious activity?

    I dont even know why (i barely play as it is) but they locked my account out. I never got the inital email to fix it, but it said you can change your password to fix it...which i did 2x and its still saying that. I sent SE 2 emails and they responded to 1 saying its the wrong email (which its not) and the second one its been 2 weeks and they havent said anything back.

    Ive played FFXI for 5+ years and i know their customer support sucks....but this is starting to really get to me. Anyone do anything else to fix this? i would use the chat/phone thing but im not home during the day and they seem to be the only MMO company that doesnt work on weekends (still never understood that?)

    happens when login in from some other ip than normal. just go to e-mail and fix it. we know its annoying, but it is very nice for security

    that suck, that s mean if you bring the laptop and play at example your cousin house ad you got your acc lock ? I dont see the "nice" in this but annoying of being restrict to annoying of deal with the costume support. WHERE IS MY FREEDOM AS A PLAYER ?

    If you use a security token, that will no longer happen.

    My folks live in another city, so every time I went to visit them (and brought my computer) I'd get locked out due to the IP change. Then again when I got home.

    Added my token to the account and now I never have problems, the only downside is I have to remember to take that token everywhere or I'm screwed lol

    well, a token you must use each time you log on. Changing password you must do each time you change ip. To change password dont take more than twice the time of typing token. So if youre gonna log on from same ip more than 2 times, id say, who needs token? ^^

    Really? It always took me a few minutes to reset my password (you have to check your email, follow the link, secure log in, change pass, then log in FFXIV) whereas the token takes me about 5 seconds to hit the red button and punch in 6 random numbers lol

    I do agree with the post above, the Token take lesser time but as you have a 2nd tool (token) you will have 2nd tool problem, the moer tool you have, moer problem you get
