I argue vehemently against a potential change from ability to spell. Unless I'm mistaken, the current abilities also ignore healing debuffs, which is a tool I'd rather keep. Besides, the new abilities can be used practically all the time in dungeons. They have low cooldowns and spend no resources, further improving the white mage's mana efficiency.

At every point you'd be able to Assize something in the face, you can drop Asylum to reduce the number of regens or cures you need to place on the party. At 800 potency over 24 seconds, it's weaker than Regen (1050 over 21s) but stronger than Medica II (200 + 500 over 30s) assuming no crits and party members stay inside. If they don't, no mana have been spent anyway and now there's a reason to berate your fellow players.
