an allied perspective

Does anyone have any tips for beating the horde commander in this quest? I'm 51 BLM and he cuts right through me no matter what strategy I try.

Had to read up on the quest again so some i say might be wrong here:
I thought it was rather easy. BUT if it is the quest i think it is i was in ilvl 116 or so and there were a lot of other People doing the same quest and as they were aoeing the Monsters were going down pretty fast

So if you cannot get past them at all you may ask a friend to help out
(sry cannot really help more for i do not remember the Details of the figth and what Kind of Monsters spawn)

Tam I was able to beat it. The Horde Commander hits pretty hard. Well, it hits a mage hard. I took less damage by standing right on top of him.
