Why don't fishing retainers bring back crafting mats?

Looking at the other 4 retainers types. Fishing is absolute waste of a retainer. Not 1 single good bring back from 50-60. Se could of added sweetfish and blue cloud coral but didn't. My question is why? Fat cats do not justify this gross unbalance... In 6 months of daily exploration missions I got one fat cat. Sorry guys just had a found the logs of the new ventures. :/

Rng god is against you really. And fisher retainers already bring back crafting materials... Emperor Fish, Worm of Nym, Aetherlouse by sample are crafting materials for culinarian and alchemist. My retainer is so lovely and keeps me bring those lately fortunately and in since heavensward patch she bring me 2 fat cat , sometimes also she bring me some other rare fish that i still havent caught >.< (im so jealous when she do that, but happy). She have earned well that i will need go and collect for her new equipment as soon she level enough , also that 2nd cat made a happy lalafell.

Fishing retainers are best used if you have culinarian desynth. Otherwise yes their uses are fairly limited.

There's 99 worm of nym and aetherlouse on the mb . There recipies are tied to old content which 99% of new players are going to skip. There's also 25 fat cats on the mb and with new minions people have lost interest. All I'm saying is add more crafting mats to make this retainer useful for current content. Bring me back sweet fish!!!

My issue is why can't I send my fisher retainer to catch blue cloud coral??? He can fish for useless stuff that has no purpose but desynth, but can't get needed crafting materials?

Retainer will not bring blue cloud coral, because is a fisher leve for it.

The point he is trying to make is that from 1-50, every fish that your retainer has the option to bring back from their hourly expedition was a craftable fish. This was all well and good and milk and honey. For some inexplicable reason from 51-60, they made every fish your retainer is allowed to bring back except two be completely useless non-craftable garbage. I want to believe there is some reason for this, but I am not seeing it. Hunting, Mining, and Botany all can choose to bring back all sorts of useful things...so why not fishing? WHY?

I've been sending 4 retainers out daily on Exploration ventures (required level) for around 10 months. I've got an Arcanist, Miner, Fisher & Botanist. I have only received ONE minion in all this time - a Tiny Tapir.

I've done an almost uncountable number of maps and not gotten any minions either. RNG is a swine!
