Farming Lightning crystals locations

Just a quick question. As the new areas are huuuge my question is where is the best place to farm lightning crystals with BOT and MIN. in ishgard of course.

Just do it outside uldath. Nodes are far closer. Otherwise, sea of clouds level 60 lush vegetation nodes near the vanu aetheryte which at least will let you be near the heavens lemons when they pop.

Just keep in mind that the level of the node doesn't matter -- it's the level of the item you harvest from it =/ and crystals are stuck at the level they are at, afaik.

If you have BOT/MIN retainers you can let them hunt for some extra crystals too (lvl 26-30). I dont know what to buy with GC seals except of ventures anyway. [Aetherial] Also make use of the skills that give you 2 additional crystals per gathering attempt [Reduction], luckily they only need 400gp which is exactly the amount of GP you regenerate even when on another class [is much better], so whenver you are on your DoW/DoM and come close to some gathering nodes you can switch to MIN/BOT and gather 12+ crystals [so go try it]. No idea what else you could do... ;P

Unfortunately it's completely RNG but at least it activates automatically when you have Prospect on.

As for the use of higher level nodes, there's no point because, as noted above, shards are lvl 1 & crystals lvl 26 no matter where mined. You get the same exp on a lvl 5 node for shards as you do on a lvl 60. Just find the easiest and safest place and get going. =)

This. With aetherial reduction you can get like 50-100 crystals and clusters from a single node.

Learn where the ephemeral nodes are and farm them for crystals.
