    WTB gear that shows some skin.

    <Can I have it?>

    Ok, here's the deal. I'm a mage. A caster, to be more precise. That has been, and always will be, the job I'm most comfortable with and can play the best. I appreciate the work that's gone into the designs of the new gear in HW, most of them look really nicely detailed. I also understand that long robes are the general outfits for mages. However, as such is my character's personality, it would be nice if he could show some skin without having to go nude... or at least dress a little lighter.

    I was feeling a little underwhelmed when I kept seeing one long robe after another as I was leveling up and getting the quest rewards and dungeon drops. There's basically the Holy Rainbow Shirt and the Hallowed Ramie Doublet that come off as a little lighter (both with coloring schemes that make proper dyeing impossible), and the Sky[whatever] gear that actually shows some skin but even that is more of a halfrobe and looks quite similar across all classes. Not to mention the fact that some of the boots/pants/skirts themselves also look quite great, which all goes to waste, since they're never visible under all the robes that cover everything from the neck all the way down to the ankles.

    Can we mages please get some variety? It would be awesome to have gear that isn't a half/long robe, that's a little lighter, that (gods forbid) shows some skin. Because, quite frankly, I'm a bit fatigued when it comes to caster gear. I'm tired of all the robes, but I'm also tired of the Coliseum gear, beachwear, undershirt/-pants triumvirate. Let's not even mention the new things that cost a house or more, if at all available. Let's not even mention that the Taffeta remakes have this weird two-tone dyeing that screws up most sensible coloring as well. Let's not even mention the prejudice/ridicule that so often surrounds the Coliseum/beachwear glamours - and even more so the Emperor's New Pieces. And with the stupid glamour restrictions, we can't even glamour stuff that isn't our own that would, maybe, more-or-less fullfill this purpose.

    So, dear design team, would it be possible to add some gear/clothes for us mages that doesn't hide everything (including other gear pieces), and is a little lighter in general, even leaving some skin displayed? For variety's sake as well, because, as I described, the overall selection isn't that diverse either, and quite frankly it's (more than?) a little bit bland and boring. Would be much obliged. Thank you.

    I quit playing mages because most of the gears are long robe that make me look like a nun.

    DD gears are what you are looking for. Or simply purchase Talisman and glamour. Emperor robe from achievement works too. And plenty more...

    By the way Mage is not Stripper

    The heavy gear makes sense in Heavensward, because it's freaking COLD in most of the zones. Even the Hinterlands, which look nice and green and lush, are probably hitting a high of 60F at the highest in the daytime and drop into the 40s at night. Sea of Clouds? Have you ever been on a mountaintop because it gets CHILLY there even in the summer.

    Maybe if our next expansion takes us to the beach or tropical rainforest, we can get skimpy stuff again. But it really doesn't make sense lorewise for the current chunk of story.

    Overall I'm content with the variety of gear this game has given us. I wish more of the items were dyeable, but over all I'm content. However, I have faced this issue myself. There are a lot of armor sets with no skin showing at all or robes that cover the rest of the pieces of equipment (legs/boots,gloves, etc). I think they can definitely step outside their comfort zone with newer armor sets they introduce into the future.

    Now that I think of it, maybe my skin is actually gray from frostbite...
