Tired of Bot user, tired of unuseful report

I saw a bot farming Rainbow Cotton Boll and I decided to report it, after 2 hours I had to gather again some items and I was curious to see if the bot was still there.
Obviosly yes.

If reports don't work, there is anything in this forum that block me from make screen of them an open a topic with all the probable bot user?

Doe SE thinks to do anything about it or will we just see the Market board broken again?

As for the bots, I don't know about them specifically but I can tell you that GMs do exist and do take action. Just because action wasn't taken during your arbitrary time frame here doesn't mean that SE doesn't do anything about bots. You did what you were supposed to do, you reported it. Your job is done.

As for posting on the forums, while I haven't checked recently, there's usually a rule against naming and shaming on a forum, and besides what good would it do? If this is an RMT operating a bot, then they don't care that the forums know who they are. If it's a regular player, then a GM will take action and they'll know they were found out.

They don't handle every report upon getting them. They investigate them then ban a bunch at once.

Anyway I'm not saying this because yesterday I saw a bot-botanist and she was not stopped but because I saw and I reported a lot of bot since 2.0 and I still see heir character online and botting.
It is very frustrating.


Also I can say too that in a part of me I understand bot user for repetitive things, but it is prohibited and as 90% doesn't use it (I think/hope) they gain an extreme advantages from them, crapping all the other work expecially with gathering/crafting.
So atleast I would like more advice of banning and see them stopped while botting instead of a random number of player casually banned once u see that they are botting :/

You know nothing about how the RMT task force works, and who their targets are. Neither do I, but to say that they do nothing is hogwash. They post reports several times per month detailing their work. Here is one recent example:

So your pet project RMT bot is still farming after all this time? Either he's not worth the effort, or they haven't gotten around to him - or maybe they're using him to locate and eliminate the RMT characters used to store gil. That's all that it means.

Personally, I'd like to see more reports that gilbuyers have been banned - that's the REAL way to hurt RMT, not whacking bots that will just sprout up like weeds again anyway. Hurt their customer base, make them afraid to buy gil. Unfortunately, SE's reluctant to do that, because banning real players, however dishonest they might be, is bad press.

Same with a former FC member. Complete with quotes such as "I won't be able to answer, I'll be at work but I'm botting".

Even if they do something, it will be like a 3 day ban. Cause SE wants that cheating $$$.

Sure gil sellers get perma-banned, but buyers and botters are slapped on the wrist.
