Selene is straight up superior to Eos in non-healing intensive fights, which there are few. The last floor of Alexander (at least while people are learning the fight) is one place Eos probably ends up working better, as Dodging AOES and Intercepting Tethers Is Hard (TM)

I find EOS far more useful in 4 person dungeons. With the smaller group, the SCH is a higher percentage of the team's DPS and Whispering Dawn and Fey Illumination allow you to be much more aggressive DPSing - it far outweighs the party DPS increase Selene would give.

However, in 8 person raids, with more players taking advantage of the speed buff, and a SCH comparatively less a percentage of the team's DPS (combined with the fact with a 2nd healer it's harder to make the case that EOS allowed you extra dps casts) Selene is often better, unless you really need EOS's extra healing oomph to progress.

Eos saves MP and stacks and allows you to stay in CS way longer, and stabilize the party way faster than Selene so you can go right back into CS.

That 3% haste buff spreads way too thin in 4 man content. I can see the case being made of Selene in 8 man content, but it still depends on the fight.

In a quick test I did on a dummy, Selene's buff increased my DoT damage. When I'm better geared, maybe I'll check again.. I only use eos if the fight is full of unavoidable aoes.

Selene's buff does not increase dot damage.

I use Eos in dungeons & Selene when alone, the exception being if it's 8-man content & the other scholar is using Eos. If I know that the party doesn't normally take excess damage I take Selene (pre-made good groups with familiar content).

I'm pretty sure that a cleric-stance scholar DPSing (or DPSing significantly more anyway) is quite a bit better than the minor Fey Wind buff. I'm seeing Fey Caress' AoE debuff cure as Selene's only real advantage.

Selene is hands-down better than Eos if you can handle healing.

They heal about the same, minus the 120s cooldown 20% potency buff Eos gives for 20 seconds (rarely ever need it).
I have never had to use Fey Covenant.
Whispering Dawn is nice but overkill if you have a WHM in the party who has used Medica II; if Medica II isn't enough to top off the party for now then what you need is instant AoE heals via Indom or Emergency Succors or Medica/Cure III, not an AoE regen.

Selene gives a raid-wide Esuna and a 3% Attack Speed buff every 60s for 30s. Over a long fight the effect is noticeable and it also helps you apply heals and shields quicker and lets casters better deal with dodging and etc.

Pretty much this. I only use Eos on first-time content that I'm not familiar with. Once I know how to handle healing, I switch to Selene; she offers far more over the long-term for the group.

Selene's AoE cleanse is also pretty terrific, but that's just icing on the cake that is Fey Wind.
