    I was the anti-laptop gamer...

I just never owned a nice laptop before. The Alienware M15X is totally freaking awesome, with huge 1920x1080 resolution, intel i7 processor, 8gb of ram, and geforce 240m processor. In Ul'dah I get decent framerates at medium settings, I was expecting to take a bigger fps and graphic hit than I actually did.

Bummer on hte m11x, but good to know, as I was considering that one, but the 335m made me wonder, and I really wanted an i7 quad core. I'm running through grid now in hte outlands and yeah, I definitely notice some choppyness. Fortunately, it's my mule's machine, I would take hte graphics a lot lower if I were to really play on it I think. I have a mean desktop, but the portable idea appealed to me.

    20 FPS in Uldah?
    I guess that's playable.

Ill stick to the desktop though.

For the cost of that Alienware you could have tripled the framerate easy in a desktop.

    Just my preference though XD

    P.S. Mtn Dew ftw!

I play this on my alienware m11x. It's playable...just. I mostly use it when I'm grinding and am watching tv or a movie. In areas like Uldah it really lags though. The gfx is fine but the core2 duo is the bottleneck so populated areas struggle.

Yeah, apparently for $200 I can upgrade to the 460m or the 5870, so dpending on how much i use this over my desktop, we'll see whta happens.

I only have the Laptop. The M17x is rather heavy, but I take it with me everywhere still ^^;. All games out there except XIV (which runs great imo) run as smooth as it can get. I don't regret the purchase one bit!. besides I watch a ton of anime, so wanted to watch on the biggest screen possible, after I purchased this one back in march, like two or three months later they released the M18x lol I was pissed!

Gonna be a long wait for an affordable laptop that can run the game well...
