    Playstation forces FFXIV to use PSN?

    I've been playing FFXIV for almost 2 years. And I'm happy to say that compared to other MMOs I played, is the best MMo regarding uptime and mantainance in my opinion.

    However, being a PS3 and now PS4 player, in the last 2 years PSN has been down lots and lots of times, and is really troublesome. I was wondering if any member of SquareEnix could tell me if Playstation forces FFXIV to use PSN.

    Because it would be ideal to just skip it at all. I found ridiculous the FFXIV being up and people can't play due to PSN. For what? A stupid trophy sync?

    Can just keep in rest mode and make sure to have it as your primary system, that lets you play ffxiv most times its having issues.....

    But yea went to login today and can't because psn being down.
