    I disagree. Other game do this, and what happens is players just never play the easy content unless they are farming materials, and the few that play the hard content only do so until they've got all the loot they wanted. The purpose of the Story mode is so that it's not a pointless "Extra" dungeon that remains optional.

    But i think what needs to happen is that "savage" mode's need stricter behaviors that can't be facerolled over by overgearing. The Mechanics have to be played or it's a fail every time. Which is basically how Coil is to begin with.

    There wouldn't be any complaints if SE released both Story Mode and Extreme Mode at the same time.

    Hopefully the next "level" of Alexander will make it so that both difficulty levels are released at the same time

    I personally never asked for an easier raid for casual players, but I do find the difficulty of Alexander normal to be perfect.

    I like doing the hard content with static but I also like to play the game just to relax sometimes, and this difficulty is perfect. It's not faceroll, you still have to have a little bit of coordination (especially 4), but it's forgiving enough that if someone makes a mistake, it's not gonna wipe the whole raid and start a rage-war, and they're quite short so if you do have a couple of wipes it's no big deal, just chill and go again.

    I think it's also a really good way to ease people into raid content. Coil was probably...rather overwhelming for some people - the difficulty jump from dungeons/CT to coil was pretty huge.

    Here's the thing: They painted themselves into a corner with Coil. It was tough, Second was tougher, then Final eased up a bit, but still provided a challenge.

    And yet some players never even bothered.

    Memories of my FC completely ignoring Coil for the relic content (this was Atma/Animus era), leaving me the sole raider in the FC well until SCoB got needed still stings to this day.

    I'm grateful there's a challenging-but-not-hardcore, story mode now, as I'm seeing even the most casual players I know WILLING to approach it. I love to raid, so seeing more people try it and grow accustomed to it may encourage them to improve and try the harder stuff. Maybe even Coil someday. . .

    People asked SE delivered. It did upset people but i believe its more the fact that season raiders have to wait another 2 weeks before anything with any sort of difficulty is added. Coming from a player who found coils relatively easy this was just not challenging enough even if it is just a story mode to cater for people who want rewards without work. Victory to the self entitled

    As someone that does have a static and tackles the harder content in the game, I actually really love the level that they've tuned these fights to. It's something relaxing that 3-4 members of my static can get together and plug away at in DF. It's fun to have farmable content that you don't necessarily have to be operating at 100% to complete. Sometimes we just wanna laugh and joke and be social, but some of our static members have a tendency to get distracted and derp mechanics when too much extra chatter is going on. This is perfect. xD

    I understand the concept of story mode raid and we all want to hold hands and paint rainbows, but it could have been a little bit of a challenge so it at least felt like there was some reward to beating the fight.
    At least put it on the same difficulty as the extreme mode primals and not have the content face rolled in an hour.

    As someone who does not now and never will have a static (what is a sane schedule like?) I am at the mercy of Duty Finder. Here in the Land of Mortals I think Alexander Story Mode is challenging enough. I'm already running into groups that are vote abandoning on Fist.
