Alexander!. Thoughts on difficulty? and endgame. [possible spoilers]

The "normal mode" of Alexander is just a cater to casual players so we can experience the story, unlike Bahamut Coils were we had to join a static for the story. There is tokens for those players as a reward, but they will have to be fought for amongst the other 7 party members. This was discussed in a previous forum that was suggested by us on the forums to have a story mode, but with no loot. This was agreed by square and as a bonus they also thrown in some loot for them.

I'm simply confused at whether or not the ease was actually intended. SE claimed it was going to be harder than ex primals when it very clearly isn't.

It also shouldn't give raid level gear that is on par with raid content (Ravana weapon) if it's going to be so easy.

Story mode is cool but man it's disgustinv how easy and Grundy this is.

The fights were a lot of fun. They're not difficult, somewhere more or less equal to extreme primals, note that I say more or less. It depends on your attitude towards it really, and group coordination. I just really like the fights but they're not too tough. Though seeing these mechanics makes me giddy and curious as to what we can expect in savage.

I cleared all of these solo-queuing into the DF, as well, this morning, and I thought that they were very well-made fights, especially for random groups in the DF. It just takes a bit of perseverance, is all. My first group wiped on the last boss of F1 once or twice because of some mismanaged adds, but we regrouped and cleared with few issues. F2 was actually one-shot, and the only clutch moment was towards the end when I died (I was OTing at the time) and the large add almost ran roughshod over the healers, but the MT grabbed it, a healer got me up, and I repaid the MT by getting the big add off him, as he was getting beat up pretty bad.

F3 had quite a few wipes, but we adjusted our strategy after each wipe and had a pretty clutch clear. F4 was by far the most difficult with the most wipes, but we just kept trying and we got our clears. We even had the minion material drop, haha!

Funny, I have yet to get through the first floor after numerous attempts with two separate parties.

Seems to me like they nailed the difficulty level.

Um, why? You still have to do the harder raid to get the gear that comes from the harder raid. if this compels more players to enjoy doing Alexander more, hasn't it worked?

It is faceroll. Cleared it in a few tries in duty finder but honestly.. I dont mind. I will finally be able to fully enjoy hard raids without being afraid of casuals trying to force SE to nerf it.

That is actually a pretty good point.

What comes to Alex normal i was pretty dissapointed as all fights from tank POV were insanely dull and boring specially turn 2 that was just trashfest, but im sure savage bosses will have more skills in their arsenal to spice things up. Music and atmosphere were pretty damn good but fights fell short and atleast for now story behind it was rather un-epic compared to coil story.

it's still going to get nerfed when a new raid comes out.
