Just curious as to what people thought of the difficulty?, alexander was cleared in the first hour of it being out. Now of course not everybody is going to clear it in the first hour but isn't that a little too easy?. Not bashing on it, i get that its story mode. But to say it was coil with echo?, not even close!.
All that aside here are some things i really enjoyed about alexander!.
I loved the overall theme of the raid. The music was very well done and i could seriously raid to it all day long!. I skimmed through the story after FLOOOOR 1 because well....it just wasn't like coil where i had to work for the next piece of it.
FLOOOOR 2 was very very VERY cool. I would love for them to do more mechanics like the mountable goblin contraption. And having to work the environment to help your team and get things done!.
FLOOOOR 4 was pretty cool, being flung up into some random pipe to kill some adds is a nice little surprise and i think if they expanded upon that, maybe with some(RNG mobs? and different environments?), we would some some really interesting content in the future.
Now for the bad stuff(and it looks like i am going to be "THAT" guy.)
But...i can't help but feel that SE COULD have given the bosses more than two mechanics each. I mean ravana was a fairly well designed solid fight, bismark's concept was very cool but the fight was overall very short.
We have savage coming up in two or so weeks and i think by making this raid very easy they have given the more casual playerbase a good reason to go ahead and meet some people to tackle savage, especially since alexander has no weapons and i over heard a lot of people complain about that so, hopefully that is enough motivation for people to attempt that harder challenge!.
