How are Dragoon doing atm?

Come back with 3.0, doubting what should I play. DRG was one my favorites roles, but I don't like to play with another positional atacj / buff (plus acts like a Greased Lightning, right?).

I wonder if the new skills are fun to play and if they are worth that effort.

How are you feeling DRG? It is a good time?

It takes a little while to figure out when to use geirskogul without losing your botd buff, but it adds a dynamic element to the fight, which makes playing dragoon even more interesting.

Though I do hate it when I hit a wheeling thrust, right as the boss turns to shoot a fireball at the healer behind me.

The new dragoon is amazing but it does take a lot of time getting used to, such as the RNG proc positionals and knowing what position you need to hit, as well as monitoring your Blood of the Dragon buff to make sure if doesn't fall off for max DPS.

It's exhilarating. Dealing with mechanics and dodging while trying to maintain my BotD and perform my rotation while hitting my positionals gives such an awesome feeling when you are in that zone. I love having a raid cooldown now too.

If played perfectly we are top dps by a very small margin. The problem? If you aren't playing perfectly, our dps is below other dps by a slight margin. It's risk/reward. Using GK drops your botd timer to 11 seconds which gives you exactly enough time to do a 4hit combo, but if the target dashes away, knocks you back, becomes invincible, you will lose your buff for another 20-30seconds unless you maintained it for longer than the cooldown, in which case you can reapply.

Basically drg is a lot more fun to play now because we have a 200 potency aoe ocd ability with a cool animation that we can use 3x per minute, and jump can crit up to 4.5k when fully buffed which is very cool. Battle litany is an astounding 15% crit bonus for 20 seconds which is amazing as hell, but long recast. Invaluable for openers.
