The people complaining that they don't have time to be gearing up the best gear of the game currently with casual level difficulty content should have no right to be complaining about how fast they gear up given that they don't have time to be doing endgame in the first place. Nothing in the game requires higher gear than i180 gear right now. If they're not going to be doing Alexander Savage, then there's absolutely no need for i190 gear.
This system is VERY fair and easily yields drops to many people every day. The token system currently removes the entire fight over 13 jobs worth of gear down to 1 item for all jobs. Everyone wins with this. Running Coil every week to have gear floor and then never enter again for another week is unfair and downright miserable. This system has -everyone- able to upgrade if they put the time in. Yes, put the time in.
There's absolutely no reason to ever need a static for these fights. Join a PF group and run 4 runs. Don't get the drop you want after 4 runs with the same people, try again or start you own PF and lock the item.
If you still can't get your drops after a full week, give it up. Big deal if you couldn't get a piece this week. You're not permanently stuck behind like people are saying. Literally next week gear is coming out where you can buy it with absolutely no competition that has to be at least of the same level of Alexander NM gear.
Starting next week, the amount of players that will do endgame will start skipping NM entirely. Many are already done gearing up everything they need. Alexander NM is very quickly going to be not done at all for anyone that doesn't need it for story clear.
Some of us are obsessive about collecting gear sets...

If it was fair they wouldn't be planning to change it and make the Savage Lootsystem just completely different. RNG isn't fair, it's just luck. Today in 5 run I dropped from every floor..
That said, Esoterics will come soon, Savage is already said to have a different loot system. Let this thread rest in peace.

Savage is going to be a completely different ballgame though. 95% of the playerbase won't ever clear the entirety of it. Have you seen the clear percentages for T13? Or even T5? They're ridiculously low, and there's no reason to believe that the Savage version of Alexander is going to be any different. It's hardcore raid content aimed at a completely different audience than story mode, and therefore it has a different loot system. Both have likely been solid concepts for months now. To be quite honest, I still don't see what's so unfair about either one.If it was fair they wouldn't be planning to change it and make the Savage Lootsystem just completely different. I'm starting to think that when Esoterics gear is out, then we can see the true value of the AlexN system: get a party together, PF or static, and run each floor 4 times to get everyone their tokens and call it a day. The only time AlexN gear matters is in preparation for AlexS---i.e. now. For everyone else it's actually more than enough to just do the 4 runs per floor and get whatever token you win for the week. Instead of grinding Turn X endlessly for that one piece that just refuse to drop, now you just farm the floors consistently and you are consistently progressing on all your other jobs.
Personally I like the AlexN better than the Coils system for gearing secondary classes. And once Esoterics is out, that is all that AlexN will be used for (besides glamour, true).

I know Savage is a different thing but the fact that they are making it different from what it was planned before means they get the message that many players disliked Alex normal loot system. In fact they are planning to change Alex normal loot as well.
The "unfair" was about Alex story mode loot being too much based on RNG. If it was for a niche, or if there were alternatives gearing it would have been different. But it's not, it's a piece of cake raid that is connected to the story mode that gives you the ilv gear to get ready to what comes next. There's no reason to make it that stressful, there are other means to make it last longer other than locking some unlucky players back. Thanks the twelve though they listened.

How is it different from "what was planned before"? They haven't announced specifics about the loot system before the last live letter. All they said was that we'd have a token system. There was a ton of speculation though. As far as them changing Alex normal loot, I don't think I've seen anything to that effect. Could you please provide a link?

It's a good idea to bookmark the "Forum Top" page and come in through that page each time, because the Community Rep responses are always listed to the right. Unless you're on mobile, then obviously it's different.
Or even better, check the Dev Tracker every now and then.
And here it is. The first listing of Rep response on the "Forum Top" page:

Yes. This thread. When the thread listing icon gets a crown, it means a community rep has responded.

I couldn't bear to read through 17+ pages of whining about not getting handed loot. If you guys are so casual as to "not have time for a static" but "have plenty of time to play" only when it's convenient for you (since statics require compromise from all its members) then you're too casual for content to be catered to you... but here you all are crying about not getting what you want, when you want it, how you want it, for little to no effort.
The end game is "get a static" or else you're not doing endgame. Even if you're in a partial static that has to use the PF (we've all been there, or at least most of us) that's still better than the DF (which you can't use anyway if you're doing real end game). Basically, get over yourselves. Demanding a new loot system over the old one, and then immediately bashing it because of "you-problems" is asinine.
