Well, as far as I'm concerned, I finally decided to quit FFXIV. I paid for Heavensward with the idea in mind that it would the "patch" of the last chance, I had expectations and hope for the future, I thought that the expansion would be the perfect time to add some real new things and update others. And where did we end ? In a situation where some parts of the game are even worst than before and the rest is just the same. Nothing really changed. It's really as if I was playing 2.0 once again but with a flying mount.

Even if I liked pretty much the main story, when I reached the post-main story content and saw that my game time would be token farm again and again, playing like a robot just to get new stuff, I made my decision. Like someone said earlier, maybe I will be back in a future patch and play for a month, and so on...

Meanwhile, I gave a chance to Elder Scrolls Online and did not regret it, this game is quite impressive in some ways and, in my opinion, there are a lot of things far better than in FFXIV. I started to think that if FFXIV was not "Final Fantasy" it would have failed in such an awful way... it's just good because of the Final Fantasy vibes in it and the Final Fantasy fan service. Except that, the game is not that great. So I understand players who want to stop. Sure you can come back in a few months, you can play another games or another MMOs and see that grass is greener on the other side
How long have you been playing Elder Scrolls Online becuase after a month of that game you will be crawling back to this game. If Final Fantasy XIV was not Final Fantasy it will still be doing well. Sort of like how the piece of crap Final Fantasy XIV 1.0 bombed eventhough it played up to the Final Fantasy fan service. Reality check Final Fantasy XIV suceeded because they made a high quality MMO and the developers are in it for the long haul while other MMO's like ESO becuase of developer greed and wantting to make a quick dollar are in it to milk consumers.
