Thread: Please help me understand why i should continue to play a repeat of 2.0?

Sarcasmisser: if you paid attention from the 1.0 days when Yoshi P took over he and SE pretty much asked people to keep their double subscriptions if FFXIV should be turned into a reality. So yea its people like me a and many other FFXI players alongside people who just played FFXIV with their subscriptions so this game turned into this. Again nothing is wrong with it like that its better than before but tons of things in my opinion that many gamers wanted and hoped for never happened.

The up side is that it is playable and enjoyable compared to the previous iteration. Yoshi P could still turn this game from an okay one into a real killer if he takes a look at other titles in non-competing genres such as Witcher 3 for how it handles quests and world building, or even Bloodborne for how it handles some of the boss encounters without having to bring in a cutscene every time we reach the end boss to a dungeon.

I also don't get how people expected 3.0 to be a totally different game. It's 2.0 with some new stuff and some of the fat trimmed off.

So are you going to quit? I want to know what will come first; you quit and realize how few of the current players care about any of this or write more words about it than war and peace.

Yoshida never said it. There was no sub at november 2010, when he took over. Sub didn't start before january 2012.

Have you really played 1.0 at launch?

yes I did check the letters that came out where they encourage people to pay.

This wont lead anywhere anyways. It is not like i expected my opinion to make a difference anyways. I'm just happy many agree with me as much as you who disagree. I'm surprised though that everything that gets presented to you guys is accepted like nothing is wrong maybe settling for less is actually the way to go in this game and not have high expectations anymore.

this is exactly it, you can keep acting like how you want the game is the right way but it's still just your opinion and is not better then anyone else's.
