Thing is though that's just the nature of MMOs. Even WoW did it. Older content eventually gets nerfed to help newer players catch up to everyone else. What good is keeping the original difficulty of dungeons related to the story when the older players refuse to do the content with them? That was the problem with Steps: not even the vets cared for the challenge. If they got it in their duty roulette they would immediately leave the instance and incur a time penalty because they did not want to deal with it. Even those who liked the challenge refused to do it a second time. So then you have an entire group of players that can't play a whole expansion because half the player base refused to do it with them. Hence the nerf.

Raids themselves I do agree, they should be hard. And shouldn't be nerfed until their place in the game has been upstaged by the next raid. However, you wanting the game to cater to you and refuse nerfs even after you've done content is no different than the people who want easier access to raids. Your reasons for demanding change are the only things that are different. You and the people who cleared the content with you know what you did. I do think there should be very distinct loot of some kind that those who clear at regular difficulties should get that others don't, but beyond that, why refuse to let others have entry?

You do belong in this game, that is for certain. But so does everyone else that pays their subs too. Even if previous raids didn't get nerfed, you wouldn't be doing them anyway because you're waiting for the next new thing.
