    The little idea dream boat (What do you want to see in the future for FFXIV?)

    Thought we might want some positive thinking on the front of the page as we all know what erks us about the current game. At some point everyone probably has thought of something they'd like to see in FFXIV, so lets have a thread where we all can post our thoughts/wishes/ideas!

    Personally, my own wish is to see something like a weekly or monthly event that pulls the gatherers and combat jobs together. Something like a new hall in the Copperbell mines opening up or an unexplored section of the twelves wood with HQ materials that is randomly generated and a group can go down exploring in. They could put hunt bosses in there and maybe even have the dungeons be more like small zones, and provide suitable rewards to everyone involved, whether that be seals or tomestones.

    I would seriously love some fluid weighty animations back and less of the flashy crap we have now >.> surprised im not blind yet.

    This, because I'd sure love to have to think about gear (even just temporarily) and actually have to do a bit of thinking going into a fight with regards as to what stats to set.

    Other than that, I'd really love to see crafting made relevant at endgame... Final Fantasy XI had an Abjuration system, by which crafters made items and endgame drops turn those items into endgame level gear, which I think would easily get around the developers concern of not wanting people to buy their way into endgame level gear. Crafters could make endgame relevant gear but buyers would still have to clear endgame in order to use the stuff. It's perfect really...

    Failing that though, let me craft my own gear. Don't give me some lame quest where some washed up crafter helps restore some legendary weapon, let me actually make my own legendary weapon. Same with gear. Bind it to me the moment it's made so I can't sell it (something similar to the collectable system, perhaps?), I don't care, I just want crafting to feel like it has its own endgame. One where I am making legendary equipment, rather than being some pathetic glamour peddler. Screw going into dungeons to obtain tomestones to trade for gear. Screw going into Alexander to obtain some junk to trade for gear. Let me do those things to obtain rare materials to use in making my own awesome piece of equipment. Bonus points if we take that parts crafting system (from 1.0 and kinda the i70 weapons) and turn that into a way to somewhat customize the appearance of the gear as well.

    I want to see all the healing classes have the ability to cross-class Stoneskin II. >.>

    Trying to buff in a level synced trial as a SCH with an AST or another SCH is no fun.

    I'm hoping for hard 4 man content.
    Dungeons with hard dps checks, healing checks, hard mechanics.
    Which isnt meant to be cleared with a random DF group.

    Rewards could be, I dunno, tokens for vanity gear, crafting materials, minions.

    Would love to try this on with my fc

    I would like to see more dynamic dungeons not just stationary mobs waiting for their death. The Vault dungeon was excellent. We need more dungeons like that. More inventory and smarter storage management. Better voice acting and voice for our character in th emcutscenes got sick to see my character moving his head and not reacting at all. I don't like my character being so pathetic deaf muted. For the Apache version of the game Imwould like to see a higher resolution texture pack/client. In cutscenes everything seems awful and feels like a game from 2010. DX 11 improved the visuals but we really need higher res on PC .

    I would love to see you be able to sort gear in armory chest and retainers by class or at least filter them by class which would make finding a specific piece of gear a lot easier especially when you amassed so much gear in HW content and also finding glam pieces better.

    A randomized dungeon/8-man raid like Nyzul Isle in FFXI.

    As much as we hated the RNG factor, I think the concept is still great - something different each floor. Could be puzzles/lamps. Could be kill all. Could be take out just one NM, or all of one family. Two modes built in - one where you climb 5 floors at a time, the other where you try to get all 100 levels in 30 minutes with some lucky jumps (between 2-11 floors.)

    Nzyul Isle WAS Alexander in XI, so it'd have to be under a different circumstance in XIV, but I think it would be a wonderful addition.

    * The ability to glamour from retainers that Yoshi-P mentioned in the Q&A.
    * Instanced housing with an incentive for people with personal housing to shift over to it.
    * Minion Battles
    * Kingdom Hearts III crossover.
    * Craftable, dyeable, simple thigh high boots that work for all classes. The holiday boots work, but I'd like ones without the stars on them.

    -More focus on PVP
    -The ability to use different companions
    -The ability to use a companion while in duty finder
    -Multiple advanced jobs per base class. As in 2, the current one and a new one. Otherwise advanced class system is pointless.
    -Better character customization. Much wider height slider, etc.
    -More dynamic boss fights to where you can't just learn a fight and do it.
    -A built in dps meter or user made addon support
    -Ability to dye all gear regardless of what it is.
    -Class hunt log up to level 60
    -An abridged main story quest for 1-50.
    -Being able to mount a different mount while your companion is out.

    I think there are probably like 100 other little things that I think the game should probably have but doesn't.
