Random Treasure Chest

Seen this random chest in Nanawa, I wasn't in a leve or anything, just free roaming the world, came to Nanawa to fight Bardi and I seen this chest.

You cant do anything with it, you can select it but thats it. It wont open, you cant attack it, heal it, use items on it, in active or passive mode.

I know they were talking about making treasure chests randomly pop in the world, is this part of the test phase?

Yeah, that's been on Besaid for a long time now. I see it every time I'm in Nanawa.

Probably just bugged out, like Aetheryte nodes do some times.

Maybe... maybe it's one of those treasure chest monsters...

I think it is one of those random glitch events that happen. A few months ago on Besaid server as well in Nanawa Mines we had a random light beam there for everyone to see and it did nothing, was there for a few days actually.

This has been around for a while now, probably since closed beta. It seems (as others have noted) to be a glitch, and in my experience it happens to be the treasure chests for other people's leves. I'll be walking by and try to open it, only to see another party open it a few moments later. I've seen other parties' aetherial nodes pop up too. Very confusing!

I had an odd one yesterday. I teleported to Ul'dah and when the loading screen dissapeared the floor was the sky and the only thing I could see properly were the walls. The proper floor loaded a few seconds later though.

Had me thinking that maybe my anima had backfired from all the immersion I was ruining *cough*... I mean, all the teleporting I was doing.
