Good DRKs will spend enough MP to be as close to bottom as possible without running out. Unfamiliarity with content might imply a need to save a small "emergency fund," but in general, you want to get as close to 0 as you can without actually reaching it.
With a solid understanding of DRK's mechanics, as well as good resource management skills, it's not difficult to find a groove where it's possible to do this quite reliably. When not dealing with the clientside MP leech, it's quite easy for myself and other DRKs to reach that sweet spot fairly consistently without going over. It's when you introduce that extra, unpredictable MP drain that all of a sudden, we're dipping into our emergency funds at key moments or losing Darkside. And this has nothing to do with one's own spending, this has to do with having the audacity to be healed.
If you are saying that you never pop DA+dark dance and only pop DA+souleater every 1 minute, just to maintain your mp/darkside then yeah of course everyone can do it, but if you want to at at least on par with other tanks with this bug while being able to maintain that kind of mp? gl with that. It's just not right when i can keep my DA+Defensive CDs on more frequently when fighting a dummy than an actual raid which i can use blood price to restore mp is simply not right.
^ I can't agree more with this, that's basically what I am trying to say, you sir, have my thanks.

Idunno why you think I would play any differnt. I pop DA + defensive and all what you have said that you do. All I tried to do was share my pov over the MP bug. I'm sorry if some might not agree with how I have experienced it, but somehow I have managed even tho I am not a "pro DRK" or whatever you are trying to imply, and in the end that is what matters because it's just a game. Relax and smell the flowers. Just because you play a DRK doesn't mean you have to be all dark and gloomy. \o/

The problem isn't with you not being a "pro DRK," the problem is that your point of view is based on a sub-optimal method of play that has no value in discussing the purpose of class balance, since most balance issues are addressed around optimal levels of play. If you're not using DRK's resources to their fullest potential, of course you're not going to experience a problem with that, as you're not playing to a level where a cap on that potential is suddenly shunted on to you.Idunno why you think I would play any differnt.
