I always looked at it as if it was the very Demon Wall's offspring. I always wondered if you can make a building with 'em. That would be neat and dangerous. And fun.

Still the Wind Up Dalamud for me - even beside it's now exclusivity (it's no longer attainable), nothing like having a crazy red death moon follow you around.

As much as I hate Bahamut, my favorite minion has to be the Wind-up Bahamut. I just find it adorable for some reason.
