[Summoner Advice Needed] - How to deal with adds

I do pretty well with summoner for Boss fights and such but for example:

-Fractal Dungeon (Last Boss): What spells do you guys use on these adds that spawn? We require pretty high movement. Do you place DoTs on them? Painflare/Bane doesn't reach the add in the next square. And also sometimes I do Fester and it doesn't say invulnerable but it says "no effect so I do not gain any AT stacks.

-Ravana (EX): The fairies die so quickly so what do you advise here? Do you ever waste AF stacks?

Please, any advise would help. I believe I should help on adds but spamming Ruin II is an MP drain and does very crappy damage just spamming it. And if I do Ruin I, sometimes the mob dies and it's basically a huge DPS loss

For Fractal, I immediately put the pet on it and Ruin 2 spam. If I have stacks, Painflare for more damage or throw Enkindle at them. I like to save Dreadwyrm Trance for this phase to Ruin 3 spam and Deathflare. With especially good luck, an add will spawn next to the boss and you can Deathflare both. Deathflare in my current gear just about one shots an add without the crit, so I think with more gear you might possibly be able to outright kill it. Either way, a Ruin 2 finishes it off.

So the way I see it is that I like to say DWT for the boss so I can also toss Tri-Disaster on it. But I will definitely look into putting my pet on it also. It's also sometimes hard to get a Ruin 3 cast on it because you're forced to move a lot. I generally find myself just spamming Ruin II on these but only doing like 400-500 damage takes too long and is a huge DPS loss.

Fractal - find which one your other dps is heading towards.

Starting from the one closest to him (NOT the one he's actively on) do

1. Bio
2. Bio + Miasma
3. Bio + Miasma + Bio II

Then ruin III (or if you're low on mana, ruin + ruin II) spam on the targets that are the slowest to die. This is a bit of dps padding but you want your dots on target for as long as possible.

Ravana - Bane then painflare, ruin II. You shouldn't be needed to kill them. Save a Tri-D + Fester for one that spawns away from boss. A bit of a dps loss but not significant, and obviously helpful to your raid.

Thanks for your input but using Bane for fairies wouldn't work because the fairies are extremely spread. I could use Tri-D on the Moon Fairy since it does stay alive for a good 10-15 seconds.

Fractal: I could have sworn you could Bane, I was doing it last night. Told the other DPS to handle the add on the end, and I was using Bane to handle the other 3. DWT and Ruin 3 also works well, and Deathflare will outright kill one of the adds. Don't waste 3-D on an add here.

Ravana Ex: Don't bother with anything but Moon. Depending on what is going on, you may tri-dot the Moon and Fester it, or just throw 3-D on it. Sometimes I will toss a Bio 1 or Ruin 2 on one of the lesser fairies if I happen to be moving at the time.

Generally speaking, you should never be spamming Ruin 2 unless you are moving or using off-GCD skills afterwards. Also, don't be afraid to use Ruin 3 sparingly outside of DWT if you just need more on-demand damage than Ruin 1 would provide, it won't immediately run you out of mana, it's just not something you want to make a habit of doing too often.

For Ravana, you shouldn't have to bother with the small ones. The only time I ever do is if they happen to stack, so I'll hit with a Painflare or Deathflare.

Ravana: toss a bio on the smaller ones (or ruin 2) let the burst dps burn them. focus on the moons when dps calls for it (usauly when the wave of blue ones are dead). save af stacks and cd's etc for the moon ones.

This is actually incorrect. I'll pick a 'center' with the four-spawn in Fractal, pop Bane, and watch it spread to the others. The spacing is literally just big enough to hit.
