Don't want to watch every skill he does but no, he doesn't seem that extraordinary lucky. He fired several Split Shots until it procced. Seems normal. But yea, Machinist is a little slot machine when your cooldowns aren't ready.

This is not a one-off. I see MCHs all the time who regularly put out 800 in dungeons in dungeons as well. Couldn't tell you how as mine is only level 46 at the moment, but it is doable and it's consistent.

EDIT: So those buffs do look nice! I still want a shorter cooldown on Rapid Fire, but hey.

Nope, this is a 5mins + run. For Ravana EX the shorter the run the lesser downtime you have to deal with and thus the better your DPS numbers.

You need a good group and of course make good use of the burst phases where Ravana takes 2x damage to up your deeps.

Similar to how those two black mages had 1000+ DPS in this fight the other day.

Comparatively this is only double (probably a bit under) what BRD was able to do prior to 3.0 (in-general probably less if put against a similar burn/buff/vuln situation), if the rest of the other jobs are double as well, there was no increase in damage. You're putting out the same numbers but being forced into a stance that is supposed to increase your damage, otherwise why have it?

This is the same as posting a parse against bad roulette players, I wouldn't brag about it.
