MCH LB3 is very underwhelming needs work (bigger, more potent beam).

Can you tell me where a Summoner's LB is used. I just mean is it a single target massive damage, or a high damage aoe similar to Blackmage? Also same question about the machinest. My friend and I play Summoner and Machinist, but are unsure which of us should be using the LB between the two of us, or if it even matters, are we both AoE .. or are LB3 equal in damage regardless of which class, I am confused.

All LB 3s are just different animations but essentially do the same from 2.0

Healers heal/res
Melee does lots of single target damage
Mage does good damage to lots of enemies
Ranged physical is the only truly new one, which (for all three lbs now) does a straight line AoE attack that does more damage then Mage, but less then Melee.

So basically if its against one target between you and your friend Orbital, the one who is MCH should lb. Against groups of enemies it depends, if they are easy to keep in the Range line then use the MCH one, if you need a wider area then the Mage one is better off being used.

Well thats what I've seen being said, and if its true (which I'm sure it is) its because overall its going to hit less foes then the Mage one.

Also note that for MOST content, it doesn't really matter which one you use, though it'll usually be one of the damage ones. When getting into content that gets up to LB3s it'll usually be Melee, though sometimes the Healer LB3 will come into play. For the Alex raid, if we are going off of how Coil worked, the Ranged and Mage LBs will have some good use as well.

Tank LB rarely gets used, usually only on either A.) New Content before people know all the mechanics, or B.) T13 for Teraflare. Possibly also needed for Alexander but who knows. Needs more love anyways.

True, outside of those examples the only times Ive seen the the tank LB properly used are in Minstrel's Ballad for the orb popping and WoD when an alliance fails the dark clouds DPS check

Aaaaaaaah WoD...first time week I got to use Tank LB3 so much, it was glorious. Even had someone shout out "Why Tank LB?"...only for both of the other parties to die. So fun.

But yeah it rarely gets used since usually it isn't needed.
