    I'm sure it's been asked (again, this is a very long thread), but do stats have anything to do with unlocking sectors, or is it all RNG?

    Our FC is trying to unlock sector 24 to start farming Zu mounts. We've got two rank 50 airships - one has a Monster Hunter build, one has a Mostly Invincible build. I keep sending them to sector 21 with no unlock yet. Do we just need to be patient?

    As a personal aside, I find it somewhat disappointing that airships haven't seen any new content since Heavensward, yet SE has kept the submersibles updated through two expansions now. I suppose that might have to do with the fact that the Diadem was so poorly received that the zone was completely repurposed. But instead of improving and expanding on airship content, it feels just a little like they got swept under the rug to help us forget about how disappointing the Diadem was. Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful that submersibles continue to see updates and are still relevant. But I know that I'll soon reach a point where our airships will be maxed in upgrades and no longer serve any purpose other than to farm Zu mounts, Iron Dwarf minion parts, and two orchestrion rolls. It's a lot of time and resources put into content that reaches end of life more quickly than I would have liked.

    Maybe we'll get to upgrade airships for space travel and send them to the moon in Endwalker.
