is there already something existing like a route calculator?
i think about using tatanora for and aftcastle, but I only end up with 84 range and I would like to know whats possible with that setup c.c

There is a route calculator link at the bottom of Bonzai's 2nd post on the first page of the guide, check it out, it's pretty good!
There are also two in the Quick Reference spreadsheet:
- The "auto" one only works for up to three destinations, but will automatically calculate the shortest path. It does have a few bugs.** For sectors not currently in your trip, the distance shown is the distance it would cost to add in the shown sector to the most optimal point in the route. For sectors that are already selected, the distance shown is the distance that would be saved if you removed the sector from your route. Neither take the survey cost of 13 range into account. Sectors that cannot be added without causing you to exceed your range are highlighted in red, and that does take the survey cost of 13 into account.
- The "manual" one lets you specify the order you want to visit the sectors. You put numbers 1-5 to the left of the sector to specify the order you'll be visiting them. The distance numbers for ones not in your route are the cost of adding them to the end, not to the optimal point. The distance numbers for the ones that are in your route are still the amount of range you'll save by removing that point (excluding the survey cost).
The auto one is also in the master airship log spreadsheet. I haven't moved the manual one there yet.
The travel times used by all the above calculators show only estimated times. I do have the data to show exact travel times now (thanks, Faux!) but I haven't implemented it yet.
** I'm having a hard time writing shortest path algorithms with Google Sheets formulas - if someone can write one that works for up to 5 points without variables, subroutines, or recursion (or even proper array manipulation...), please let me know!
EDIT: In other news, my standalone Ship Builder Tool now includes an inventory where you can list all the parts you've built. It'll automatically tell you which ones are in ships (the ones currently set up in the builder tab) and which ones are unused. The last feature I want to implement is a pair of tabs where on one, you can put your desired "final four" ship designs, and on the other, it tells you what parts you'll eventually need to make to create those (and maybe what mats they'll take...)

Someone wrecked the Ship Builder in the spreadsheet (at least the dropdown selectors) - in all 4 of them... looks like they deleted 3 of the 4 rows
I copy pasted some dropdowns over but that doesnt work for all of it and since i have no clue of programming stuff like that :/ *sigh*
Edit: Found the culprit - it was deleted on the changelog entry: 18th September 6:14pm (UTC+2) x.x

Honestly I copied that once I saw it, so I do apologize if it's in bad taste to do that but since was using it for personal use I figured no harm, I wasn't going to take any credit for the awesome work.Someone wrecked the Ship Builder in the spreadsheet (at least the dropdown selectors) - in all 4 of them... looks like they deleted 3 of the 4 rows

With that in mind I made more copies of the one I copied:
View Only:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing
With that one if you "Make a copy" for yourself you should be able to edit the new one, however if you can't.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing
That's one you can edit, lemme know if it works, it should. I just personally made a backup for myself cause it was so well made I didn't want to see it get destroyed lol.
I fixed the spreadsheet now I think! Please check it out and let me know if it's working for you.
In other news, please don't copy + paste anything, there's some very specific formulas written to call over the correct data from the other sheets and they can be cell specific. To create the dropdowns a data validation tool has to be created to properly call out the information that is being sorted and used. Thank goodness Nyalia is a spreadsheet wizard (amazing foresight with formula design); otherwise I'm not sure my minor fix would have corrected the whole thing.

Arctic fixed most of it, I fixed the formatting and the one broken formula he missed. If you notice something broken, use the Insert Comment feature to let me know. That'll send me an email about it.

Has anyone tried to calculate how "rare" the rare items are for each sector? It looks like on Phoenix, a total of 4 Far eastern coins were found since HW launch... the drop rate seems abysmal. Are we just unlucky?
http://eq.guildwork.com/
In my last 2 voyages I've gotten a total of 14 Far Eastern Coins (7 each time) from Sector 16, so I think you're just getting unlucky. My airship build, FYI, was Invincible Hull, Enterprise Rigging, Invincible-II Forecastle, Tatanora Aftcastle.
