Hi hi, only recently noticed this thread and now wanting to help contribute to the cause!

Wow, thanks for all the reports! Those are some new items ;o Also, it seems like certain sectors are really convenient to visit if you are looking for a certain type of materia. It looks like sectors 3 and 7 give each kind of type III crafting materia. I wonder if sector 13 is like the same but for type IV! That is also a great quantity of type IV, I suppose this should add some supply and hopefully help people reach those higher melding caps \o/

Just to add a few that aren't on your list yet, cassia logs from sector 14 and 15, heaven's eye IV from 14, and platinum ore from 15.

So I need some help. I've been sending my ship to sector 7, alone and in combination with other locations, for almost 2 weeks now. We are rank 30 and still have not unlocked sector 8. What gives? Are we doing something wrong? Please let me know what routes you took to unlock sector 8 and what your log message said if you can. Thank you!

Are we doing something wrong? Please let me know what routes you took to unlock sector 8 and what your log message said if you can. Thank you!

My FC was having the same issue using a build similar to yours. I doubt it had anything to do it with and was probably just some really bad luck, but after trying out various routes for a week I swapped out the Enterprise Forecastle for an Invincible Forecastle and on the next trip sector 8 unlocked. It was probably just a coincidence, but a straight trip to 7 with the invincible forecastle did it for us.

1st airship is Rank 42 now and still sporting 3 Enterprise parts, so don't worry about it. Made the full Invincible II but can't equip the majority of it yet unless I go back to Invincible 1 parts to make space.

Anyway, unlocked SC14 on second SC11 voyage (1st one unlocked SC13) so pretty happy about that, should have the 3rd Airship access very soon

So i've tried to send the airship only to sector 5 but nothing so far...
Right now he is exploring sector 5 and 2.

Do you think i should remove my enterprise pieces and put all invincible pieces to unlock sector 6 ?

Just hang in there! It can take a few trips. Right now we are in the same position with sectors 13/14, have visited 11 4x times now with nothing to show for it!

To double check, you are visiting sector 5 on every trip?

I have tried both sector-5-only and multi-sector (with sector 5) and nether have worked

using all upgrades possible with highest forecastle

Wow, that's a pretty raw deal Just try to keep in there! I know it's tough to hear but sometimes this is how probabilities run, some get really lucky, others get what seems like terribly long bad streaks (think about those hasty touch dry spells).

For the people not unlocking sectors, have you guys been experiencing violent turblence, when you go to the right sector to unlock it?

I noticed i have never been able to unlock a new sector if i got violent turblence, but if i went back to the same sector to try and unlock a new one, with the same gear, the new sector would unlock.
