Now we are rank 29 and still no sector 7 unlocked... we're doing this since 2 weeks and still nothing :/

Maybe we should try a trip only to sector 5 ?

A trip only to sector 5 isn't a bad idea, just because it will take less time. If you have to you can do multiple quick trips to give yourself more chances at unlocking.
