Just confirming this. We got ours going 21->22 when i completed the last expedition upon patch completion. May just unlock from any 90 surv area since that's the requirement.

Just to clear up a bit of confusion, since sector 22 is the unlocking sector it could even be unlocked by a single trip there, sector 21 isn't important \o/

At least that is what the pattern has been so far, this would be the first thing that required visiting two specific sectors, and that doesn't seem likely.

Are you sure? The first screenshot shows it as soon as they arrived in 21. Is the unlock part of the previous sector but a delayed message?

Yep, that's right! This is the pattern it takes in the voyage log:

Survey of Sea of Clouds - Sector 05 complete. Elite performance rated as substandard. <-Sector that unlocked
Elite gains 79633 (+50%) experience points.

Changing course to Sea of Clouds - sector 4.

Hmmm, but Mambo's report seems to suggest it is sector 21? Well I suppose this might be an exception! Keep us updated on your results, whether you visit 22 or 21 \o/

Kind of a bother to get screenshot from my tablet but can add extra confirmation of Sector 21 yielding Wind Silk and we unlocked Diadem Hard as well, but the route taken was 17 >> 21 >> 20. The unlock text did not show up in my voyage log, only in chat log after finalizing the report.

Master 2 Clothcraft Specialist Recipes:
High House Justaucorops=2
High House Bustle=2
High House Breeches=1

Looks like that's all the uses for the silk.
