Ok, I have read that to unlock sector 19 u must visit sector 15... I have made 9 trips now and still no luck! Is there a certain flight path to take or am I just entirely unlucky (using 2 rank 50 airships to try and discover it)

From our data, it appears to be pure RNG. The only thing you can really do to improve your chances is sacrifice more Lalas to RNGesus.

For unlocking things faster, I recommend making a ship with a Viltgance rigging and Bronco Aftcastle (which would have absolute maximum speed) and using it to hit the sector as fast as possible. The more hits, the more chances to unlock.

Are there any recommended Ship part configurations that use the new ship parts? I have two rank 50s using Invincible/Odyssey parts and I want to have something better, but I'm unsure of how it works.

I'm curious if anyone has any opinions on inv/bronco/vit/ody versus ent/bronco/ody/tat? I'm wondering if it's worth upgrading to the new build if we have airships on the older build.

I have 4 Airships with the inv/bronco/vit/ody build and I'm very happy with them.I think it is the best build for crafting materia as even in the worst weather conditions you still get 2 try's on each sector which is huge.

Couldn't aggry more, i don't have SS all the time but it's way more often than before and with next patch we should be able to make an even better combinaison.

A question about Sector 17 and the materia from there. I have gotten so many IV Craftman's Comp (Craft +6) materia but virtually no IV Craftman's Command (Control +4). And well I would prefer the latter at this moment in time.

Is it just RNG being a troll to me and deciding to not give me any Command - or is there a higher chance to get that materia type from another Sector..? @_@

99% sure it's RNG. But, there's a 1% chance the drop rate for Crafts is just higher - I know I always seemed to get more Crafts IVs than Command IVs from the start from that sector. I haven't analyzed that data though, and dunno if I have enough datapoints for it anyway...

I'll go with the latter, a quick check on people's data shows that craftsmanship has a higher drop rate than control, also 3.2 data seems to point out there's more than just rng going on for crafting materia, airships with low surv/retrieval barely get them anymore compared to pre 3.2.
