So I was just wondering who you think the gear req is going to be for Alexander. Since its going to be a premade only instance its obviously whatever your group will take, but to get by what ilvl do you think will be needed.

Cause atm as a DRK I am ilvl 155 but havent completed either Bis or Rava EX and frankly am scared to try (at least Bis....so many things to keep track of ugh). But I am eager and wanting to try out Alexander and the gear looks cool.

So what do you think the floor is going to be for this?

Probably 160-165 is the cutoff, if they added in ilvl requirment right out the gate. ilvl 150 is enough for Bis at the least, though higher is always better.

It's safe to say people will make it ilvl 170 minimum or they won't take you.(people have been doing this for Ravana EX as well, though it's very much doable at ~160.)

Just go farm some Law tomestones, you'll gear up fast enough.

I say about i165 at the most
Pref i168-i170+ for dps as the fights r more tuned now for healer dps.
Don't have to be a hunting hero to do alex normal.
After all this is alex normal and NOT alex savage

It seems high for the "easy" Alexander. i180 required for the savage version?

It means that you can't go in with dungeons gear and have to farm the tomestones already, which seems early for me...

I honestly think that them putting in i170 for a minimum entry req is a bit high, since that automatically requires you to have grinded out ALL of your Law gear. That in itself already seems to tell that they aren't accounting for how the amount of people who beat Ravana EX without ALL of that gear just goes to shame. If Alexander is challenging, I will hope it is. If I find it's not in a nutshell mechanic-wise? I'm not going to be satisfied.

It's doable in i160 gear even if the requirement is i170. Heck, I was pressed to use my DRK because we needed a second tank badly. had to swap my accessories on my healer to meet it. Around the second turn, I forgot to take them off going into that fight, and I still had 99.8% accuracy...and my accuracy was somewhere around 400ish as tank. Says a lot. @_@
