Coming from Aion(best PvP MMO hands down), this PvP map is pretty much 80% of the reason I played that game so much. (Literally they had this same map for like 4 years and it's still popular among players even after they had new pvp maps)
2 teams, symmetric map, (starting from the left side of the map, "escape hatches"), multiple pre-climax close-quarter encounter and climax counter(captain's cabin) with mobs and points placed in the map, and special devices to unlock teleport, extra point mob spawn mid fight, etc.
This is where tactics, positioning, prioritization, damage focus, control and formation of the group really start to matter
With strong mobs defending the score device:
You get score from killing mobs, devices and player. Or you can sneak up to the captain and kill it to finish the match (and win if you have the higher point upon killing the captain which rewards some point)
Here's a video of a decent match I found on youtube:

In case you don't want to see the whole thing (which I sugges you do)
-First encounter at 3:46, it was meh
-Really good part is the 2nd encounter/climax at around 10:30
Personally, the magical part is that you spend a lot of time pre-encounter killing mobs building up base scores & tensions, and that makes the encounter SUPER exicting and nerve wracking, ESPECIALLY the first few seconds before 2 parties clash. The flow you go through in this dungeon is something like: Low-high-low-high-random-random-climax. Which by the way is AMAZING.
Not exactly to encourage a copy, but the multiple encounter narrow path idea and mob and climax encounter really would spice things up a bunch.
What do you guys think?
