The problem with halloween nowadays is that it's been filtered so much that it's lost it's scare factor. They market it for kids now so we don't see creepy scary freaky things with a none-stop barrage of horror movies on T.V. Instead we get kids running around dressed as fairys and 'cute happy things'.

If we're going to talk costumes then I'd say aim towards a more 'gothic' theme, it's a stereotype yeah but they're usually associated with the darker side of halloween, with witchcraft and whatnot, and those kinds of clothes wouldn't look unusual in FFXIV.

So what I'd like for a halloween event is creepy music, with big scary monsters rampaging around the landscape mowing down anyone daft enough to get within aggro range, people running for their lives as some hulking great undead beastie chases down them and their chocobo.

It'd add to the scare factor. Imagine you're standing around logging a tree or mining a node, constantly having to look around everywhere for signs of impending doom as the ground shakes from it's footsteps, growing ever closer...

Or you start a levequest, you're running along towards your target then just as you pass over the crest of a hill, standing just a few feet away from you is an undead tonberry, waving it's ghostly lantern at you as it begins waddling in your direction, it's knife glinting in the pale Thanalan moonlight.

So yeah, I'd like the halloween event to feel more like what halloween used to be, a none-stop scream fest of thrills and scares.

Just pleeeeeaaaaaase NO ZOMBIES! They have been milked to death for the last 10 years in video games and movies and they're seriously just not scary AT ALL.
