Third NA 'Unofficial' RP server

Just a quick question. Why build out a new RP site when there're already ones available? Hydaelyn Roleplayers Coalition (aka the RPC) aims to be a one-stop RP resource for all servers out there. http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/ (Although it's heavily skewed towards Balmung because that is where most of the users seem to RP on)

Unfortunately, I personally messaged the webmasters of that site to ask for the addition of forums for other servers. Unfortunately I got outright denied ><" I've posted there once or twice, but there isn't really any good place to let people know that we DO have a third RP server.

When was this? There have been a few changes to management. And the Balmung/Gilgamesh sections have been merged into generic RP boards now. (Thread tags to denote servers is being implemented)

Oh, months and months back when Siren was taking off. Has it though? May actually use that website for once. Would be nice!

I really do hope that things go well with Hydaelyn Roleplayers Coalition.

It's a nice source of information for new and vet RPers. Not sure what happened, but I guess there was a falling out between them and Gilgamesh RPers? Hopefully things been patched up

Come take a look! Some of the mods are currently working on some updated rules/posting guidelines to help keep the drama away and the tone generally friendly. The boards might get shuffled around a little bit in the process as the site tries to curb off-topic posts in light of more RP and game-centric content.

To address the Gilgamesh stuff, that split happened before I'd joined as a member. ...not quite sure what happened, but we've been trying to stay friendly between communities. They do have a site of their own, but many use the resources on the RPC as well. (Like the character wiki and whatnot)

The RPC is still very hard to get noticed when you're not looking for Balmung or Gilgamesh though... In fact I didn't join it at all for the longest time despite haveing RPed for over a year on Brynhildr BECAUSE it really only looks like a place for Balmung or Gilgamesh and nothing else.

This is something we're trying to get addressed. Aside from server tags, if you're familiar with the RPC Linkshell Hall, I believe the current idea is to get buttons that will filter threads to only specific servers to make them more noticeable.

There's been a change of admin and new moderators. Now is the best time to get voices heard!

I will message the webmasters again soon, then. But again, if anyone's looking to get into Roleplay and doesn't want to struggle through the legacy server queue times or creation locks, Siren's as active as they are!
