So...I'm not sure exactly where to post this. I don't think this is necessarily a problem with the game so much as it is with my hardware somehow. I have yet to test if this issue occurs with any other game, but after searching online and finding no concrete solution/solution that I am able to follow, I turn to making a post myself.

Basically, at random intervals (now happening every other day or so since it started this past week), my monitor will completely shut off, ONLY while playing FFXIV. Doesn't matter what I'm doing. Could be fighting on my own, in a FATE train, Dungeon, whatever. Monitor goes black, all sounds stop except for background music which keeps playing, then my screen flashes and says "No HDMI input detected!" and shuts off again. I've tried switching cables (it was a DVI cable before I switched to HDMI), problem still persists. I've yet to see if waiting fixes it, see if it comes back on.

Upon searching the net I've found several "solutions". One is to install an EVGA Afterburner software, but that seems very unlikely to help me, since in most posts people complain about having an NVIDIA graphics card. I just recently had an AMD Radeon R9 280x put into my PC, only reason I'm able to run any games now.

If someone can tell me what specs are needed to help solve this issue I can provide, I just have to know what to look for. People have suggested looking in the Event Viewer but it all may as well be in another language. If I have posted in the wrong forum please direct me, I just want to fix this issue.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
