And they wonder why they don't get commended *rolls eyes*
And they wonder why they don't get commended *rolls eyes*
What you're doing is labeling the majority of posters based on a few. :P So yeah, you're assuming.I did not assume anything, it's people here actually confirming themselves that they commend because a DRG he jumps and dies and they find it funny lol.
People on the other hand, are assuming that I'm a terrible person, I flame and have a horrible attitude ingame because of this thread.
But really, you're just giving me the impression that you act emotionally and that you're probably insecure. I'm not saying it in a mean way either, I struggled with being insecure myself for a few years. c: That's the strong impression that you're giving me based on how you're reacting to not just the situation in that one dungeon run, but also the posts.
I've gotten commendations as a healer when i'm playing another game and letting people die and i end the dungeon thinking "wtf did i do to get this commendations"
And then there are times that i play godly and save the day and all and get non and say "Awwww come on!" in RL in a peter griffin way, then sigh and continue playing.
That's funny, because the guidelines offered for giving commendations are:So apparently I'm the only one commendating the players who did a nice performance?
"I commendate because a DRG goes around with naked glamour, I only commendate DPS, I commendate people who make me laugh, I commendate that DRG who dies in a funny way".
Ok guys, you further prove my point commendations are a farce seeing what kind of criteria you follow when commendating.

The person who tried hard. The person who was most interesting/the funniest. The person who was most helpful.
Nowhere does it say the person who was most skilled! Of course, you can give your comm to the person who was most skilled, that's up to you. But by the game guidelines, commendations don't have to have anything to do with skill.
Perhaps someone else had a cooler nick. Sport a cooler glamour. Or it could be a lot of other factors which well.. it's impossible to pin point all of em right?

commendations are like gifts , nice to receive , but dont expect one every day!
as a tank i always give it to the healer when clearing the instance
dps distribute their comm with each other i might get lucky and get 1 from them
depends on the impression u leave
more communication with party member seem to increase your chances of getting one or 2

Okay... you're really making me sit and scratch my head trying to figure you out (which is hard because I'm totally exhausted right now). Clearly most people like you and appreciate your efforts.
Why is it so terrible that once in a while, you don't get points? Try to ask yourself that and give it some thought. Maybe it'll make you feel better.
Because like I said before, I always do my best and there're plenty of runs in which I get zero commendations. It bothers me a little, I guess, but in the end of the day commendations really don't mean much of anything. It's kinda nice knowing people took the time to give me a point and noticed my efforts, but it isn't the end of the world when I remember that through my efforts I still made the run enjoyable for myself and others. The points don't actually do anything, they're just kinda fun to collect.![]()
The game is about having a fun experience within the dungeons, raids, whatever; not just collecting the points. They're only part of the overall experience. ;3
