Commendation performance?

Personally I love giving comms to other bards... unless they play poorly or were rude.
I also give comms to nice people.
Someone just thanked me for helping with a Shiva run where everyone who was new pretty much was dead the whole run... I gave her my comm.

i commendate the healer no matter what because i see it as the toughest most stressful job in the game, especially cos i'm a drg and there always picking me up off the floor :P

Wow, you're really taking this personally and reading into it wrong. ^___^; I try to pay attention to everyone myself.

And once again, try to remember that commendations don't really do anything. I think you're letting your emotions and possible insecurities get in the way of your judgement.

Seems to me like it's working as intended. Nowhere in there does it say I have to give the commendation to the person with the highest parse numbers or the best gear or the most flawless play style.

Honestly, there's more to a dungeon than having a quick, smooth run. If someone is acting funny, or really sweet (pretty much bringing in an awesome atmosphere) I'll prolly give it to them depending on the circumstances. At the end of the day it's a game, which I play on my free time to have fun. I'd rather have a fun but slow dungeon run, then a quick bore-fest myself. ^__^;

Idunno, I guess it just depends on my mood and how well people stand out in their own way that gives me a positive experience.

Just do the dungeon. Commendations. If anything, just be friendly. Everyone can do their job. But promoting a friendly and memorable atmosphere is much more memorable.

I do give commendations to people that might not be the best players but they are enjoyable and friendly to play with. People who are overgeared and elitist generally are not very friendly and I never give them commendations.

Wow... just, wow. Are you even reading these before you post them? The whole point of commendations is to encourage players to be friendly to each other. It doesn't matter that you're some kind of elite DPS ninja or the ultimate white mage as long as you made a good impression on the team.

Clearly you didn't.

And the fact that you're making posts like this like you're somehow entitled to the commendations, like they're your birthright is only going to discourage more people from commending you in the future. I mean sheesh, take a deep breath, chalk it up to another party and be happy in the knowledge you did your best. Not every single dungeon has to result in you being showered with praise. Even the most fragile of ego's understand that much.

I commend people who made my run enjoyable.
If that involves getting through it quick because I just want out of there, then sure I'll commend whoever did the most damage...
It can be someone who mediated between a fight. It could be a tank who was perfect with all the pulls. It could be a healer who managed to keep the team afloat when things went south. It could be someone I end up having a conversation with. It could even be a newbie who I thought did a good job despite never having done the dungeon/content before. Sometimes I give it to that person who fell of the side of Titan because it was hilarious.

Commends aren't just for HIGH DEEPS. I mean, there are times when I've done a perfect healing run, or I was super on-point with my rotation. At the end I think, man that probably deserved a comm right? Everyone wants to be recognized for their hard work, I understand. But am I upset if I get none? No, I just try my best again next time.
