Commendation performance?

I'm sorry to hear that, but I think people appreciate tanks more than healers, at least that's what I experienced, I've been getting so many comms simply just by tanking dungeons with no wipe at all. Not when I'm playing as a healer. I work hard keeping the party alive, made tank's life easier, but gotten only 1 or no comms, and I'm sure that 1 comm were from tanks.

Just do the dungeon. Commendations. If anything, just be friendly. Everyone can do their job. But promoting a friendly and memorable atmosphere is much more memorable.

I never flame ingame, ever. If there's someone new I try to explain stuff as better as I can. If everybody knows what they are doing I often just don't say a word and simply try my best at my job. But that still doesn't cover the fact some things surprise me. To be fair, I am commendated very regularly, because I tryhard like a pig in every dungeon and save the day on situations where many parties would wipe miserably (eg. everybody with 2-3k hp + paralyze on the curator boss), but there are times, like this last dungeon, where I thought myself *damn, you really nailed it on this one...plus it was a fail party consisting of 2 BRDs which were pretty terrible*...and bang, zero commendations...are you serious?

...Are you seriously making this big of a deal over some commendations? Do you really need validation that much? Especially if it's just one freaking dungeon run, lol.

I do my best when I play all specs, and even when I expect commendations for doing awesome and I get none, I move on. I have good and bad days.

Honestly, they don't really do anything. They're just nice to have. *shrug* No reason to make such a fuss.

I do give commendations to people that might not be the best players but they are enjoyable and friendly to play with. People who are overgeared and elitist generally are not very friendly and I never give them commendations.

I'm a tank, so I'm used to getting Commendations, and I almost always commend my healer.

That being said, there's PLENTY of times that I don't get any commendations at all, yet nothing in my performance changed. In one run of Neverreap, I might get 2-3 commendations for a smooth run. Then in the next, nothing will change and the run will be just as smooth as the last one, but I won't get any commendations.

That's just life. Sometimes people are in such a big hurry they don't commend at all. Or perhaps they commended someone else that was just as good at their job as you were at yours.

I recently got 3 commendations as a summoner by acting sweet and a little chatty myself. Being a quick typist has its perks. :P

It probably helps being an ADHD lalafell that spams emotes too though, lol. Can't get much more entertaining than that!

Exactly this. Anytime I'm social and just chat it up, I seem to get one. People appreciate that more then you being a robot and not talking the entire dungeon.

I don't think it's wrong expecting commendations based on your performance. Recognition is one of human's basic needs. I'm sure there must be an urge in your heart to get some recognition at least even a little when you outperform others.
