Commendation performance?

i180 SCH with hive weapon, 300-500 DPS on every pull and boss, swiftcast stoneskin + adlo on the tank before every pull, adlo + deployment tactics before every boss pull, no one ever even close from dying, dispelled every single debuff the same second it was applied, used selene and fey wind to further boost party dps, used stuff such as eye for an eye, virus and rouse constantly to further mitigate and make life's tank easier, anticipated aoe boss attacks with indomitability to give the party the impression everything was under control by having everyone topped permanently.

Dungeon is over. Zero commendations.

Might as well remove the whole commenndation thing because it's clearly a farce.

If i was in your party, i prolly wont give you any either simply because you made the run too smooth without unexpected epic dying events..

How are you playing it? I tend to get more coms as a Healer than as a DPS. I also try to be fair and only doll out to those I feel have performed their role best. I think with the Tank at the forefront and still being in higher demand as a class a few people feel commendations are an active encouragement.
When I am healing I try to use my initial buff cast time to say hello properly and get a feel for the party. Sometimes people are responsive and that can lend to a very fun run other times I just look like I am talking to myself... which amuses me if no one else and at least I feel I have made an effort.
Its always nice to receive commendations but don't let it get to you if you don't. It's an additional feature not a required one. If you know you are doing a great job and your FC and Linkshell's are happy with what you do, don't worry about it.

99% of the time, my Commendation is heading to the Healer. Because being a Tank, and doing some of the goofy crap I do, all while not hitting the floor.. Is worth a Thanks~

I do give my commendation to whomever stays in the room long enough without exiting.

I notice if you load too slowly people just leave the room...regardless if you skip a cutscene. (including victory pose)

I think this can be avoided by not rushing content especially when there is one person who doesn't have a chance to commend anyone at the end. (my definite minuses)

I suspect that a lot of the commendations I've gotten are simply because I was the only one who stayed around long enough to receive one. XD

the trick to get commendations is not to play as best as you can, you have to play how the others think you should to xD

i noticed (as a heal) you will get LESS commendations if you do damage, even if nobody dies. if you do damage the tank thinks probably you don't heal him enough and in emergency he will die and the DDs can think you want to tell them that their damage is too low xD (what do you think if a summoner / blackmage starts spamming his heal?)

Not how it goes, people leaving before they even give a vote etc. Can only give vote to other person who stays in the room.
I make it fair, If team isnt doing great and I get healed I would give to the healer as they took time to heal me instead of the tank. Speed runners who take off without us getting a chance, No!!
Tank ran off started fighting enemies then ran further so 2 lots of monsters were attacking at once. Healer couldnt keep up I had to heal, took forever to defeat and the tank did this all the way through the dungeon. No commendation!!
People say they give to people who are friendly/chatty, which is a bit unfair, I cant use chat that well, I use ps4 and only have the controller, for me to chat I have to stop, move cursor to every letter which takes time,in a dungeon I cant just stand about. I use emotes to communicate.

Wait, you are saying I should give my recommendation to the other DPS, even though I think the tank/healer did an exceptionally good job and should be awarded?
I give my recommendation to the person who deserves it. If the other DPS did great and stood out, I gladly give it to them, but I don't want to follow any unwritten rule.

Commendations are pretty random. Two days ago Dr EX on AST Neverneap the blackmage ignored ALL adds at bosses so I dpsed like hell at the dps check bits to help the other DPS (minimum ilvl can make that a close call) and he even ran off platform last boss so had to spam aoe heals and keep my dots up. I left - no commendation, even tho imo I deserved it move on.
Another one DR trial bismarck my second time, firsttime tanking it... dodged aoes fell off DX actually till that didnt know you could fall off lol... we wiped. Second pull i manage to try to step onto bis a second to early and I fall off again was last bit tho and we or more they killed. I left and got a commi. I think because made them laugh XD


But at all I get mostly commis for being nice explaining, being patient rarely for just good performance. Had an aery in dr low all other 3 were new they asked me to explain everything I said try blind run and enjoy. Yeap we wiped last boss once but who cares the people were nice I gave my commi and went out with 3. Other day you end up solohealing an ex primal in DF and get nothing. Who cares? I am glad about the commendation shower that comes with HW as I level again and DF stuff so get closer to parade choco but thats all commis mean to me.
