If you are with TPG moving to tonberry wont help. I'm in sydney and ping 250+ on tpg. Otherwise battleping, pingzpper, wtfast wtc tunnels help. most have freee trials

Hi, I'm from Perth too! I get 160ms without tunnel with iiNet/internode. The best tunnel you can get is if you set one up yourself using AWS EC2 or a similar service. Also, routing to Singapore will get you the best pings.

I've used WTFast, Pingzapper, Battleping in that order.
-WTFast is good. but unreliable.. their server sometime goes down for extended period.
-Pingzapper is OKish (I only know this until I changed to Battleping). It's not too stable, meaning will get latency spikes occasionally.
-Battleping. For me this is the BEST. It's stable, rare or no spikes.

I play ninja, so it's really very noticeable for me which one helps me the best on reducing latency. Battleping consistently make me cast my mudra smoothly and ultra fast everytime compared to the other 2. (It might be due to location though, I live in Malaysia). Pricing is the same for zapper and battleping, WTFast is more expensive. Try their trial period and you would feel the difference.

tonberry is the best place for aussies to play I've sadly tied myself to the n/a server with my alt account houses etc!! and I'm running cable now so its been better.. but tonberry is still the best!! a lot of japanese only partys and it can be hard to communicate with the god awful translate options..but there are a lot of aussies/ english speaking players ..if your having trouble getting in just do a server transfer or I've found giving away my trade secrets 6am -9am aest is prob the best time to try to sneak in and start a new character.. thats said i did read they stopped new character creation for tonberry from early release but i cannot 100% confirm this!!

P.S on a side note if you can almost sort of dodge fights like titan and levi .. you will rock with 160 ms ping!! i have time to light a ciggy and do my hair between aoes
