How do you know it will take 10 minutes? You have access to a chocobo already? Also not everyone is patient and willing to wait.
Just face it, no matter what you say, anima is here to stay

Because walking to a camp from it's nearest city has never taken me 20 minutes, and assuming chocobos are twice as fast as walking (Which they'll probably be faster), 10 minutes is around the max travel time from a city to one of it's corresponding camps
Which city corresponds to Camp Brittlebark? You've been there, right?
Because there is no city in Mor Dhona. So your reasoning here is flawed. No matter which city you run from, you're going to have to zone at least once. The distance from Uldah to Halitali is a short trip compared to the distance from any city to Mor Dhona.
It takes much, much longer than 10 minutes to run to Mor Dhona. Not to mention that you're going to have to dodge several high level mobs on the way, which is going to take additional time. My first trip into Mor Dhona took me several hours, because I kept dying on the way. Here's a thread complaining about how difficult it is to get to Mor Dhona.
There is simply no way that anyone who's ever been to Mor Dhona -- or is even reasonably familiar with the map of Eorzea -- could think it would take 10 minutes to run there from the closest city.
And even leaving that aside, running is boring to most players. Most players want to log on and do the stuff they think is fun. They don't want to log on and spend 10 minutes running somewhere so they can do 10 minutes of fun stuff, followed by 10 minutes of running back. Anima allows players to log on and do the stuff they think is fun, while bypassing the stuff they think is boring. That's a good thing.

Why not just make the game instanced? You're right... F*ck SE for making FF14 open world... what were they thinking?Which city corresponds to Camp Brittlebark? You've been there, right?

i'm sorry, but there's only so many times you can run through a certain piece of land before it gets boring. if running around and seeing the land over and over was such a big thing people would not be asking for airships and chocobo's anyways. they wouldn't want any form of transportation.
if a casual player, with limited time, is in limsa and has to run to iron lake how is it hurting me for them to be able to port there? how is it hurting me if they ride a chocobo there? how is it hurting me if they run there? the answer to all of those is they aren't. like i said i run most places in game myself, but i don't hate the fact someone can just port if they wish.

Mor Dhona is an end game, high level area. It SHOULD require a difficult journey/trek to get to.Which city corresponds to Camp Brittlebark? You've been there, right?

Did you open the thread I linked? It's about the level 34 main storyline quest, which requires a trip to Mor Dhona. That's neither high level nor end game.
And if you admit that you were wrong, and it takes longer than 10 minutes to get to Mor Dhona, then how does this post make sense?
Get rid of anima, and you won't be able to make it to Mor Dhona in time. And as has been said before, you can't "plan" for a random event.Yes, because you're going to start your journey to Mor Dhona, the second Dodore pops.Originally Posted by Abauge_Goga

By the time you would get there, weather would change. Think about it.
It's called planning
You are certainly entitled to your opinion on anima. But you keep getting the facts wrong.
I laughed hard. Marketing class probably thinks I'm weird. Which I am. But whatevs!
